When used to treat migraine headaches, naratriptan may cause coronary artery vasospasm and increase the risk of cerebrovascular events. Thus, it's contraindicated in patients with signs or symptoms of, or a history of, cardiac ischemia or cerebrovascular or peripheral vascular syndromes.
